Vikram Vedha trailer: sleek and action-packed
The trailer of Madhavan-Vijay Sethupathi starrer Vikram Vedha is everything we thought it would be: sleek, action-packed and ruthless. Ever since the first look posters of Vikram Vedha was released we knew that it was between good and evil aka the good cop played by Madhavan and the evil gangster played by Vijay Sethupathi. The film is inspired by the folk tale of Vikramaditya. The main characters are touted to be derived from the tale.
Duvvada Jagannadham or DJ movie review: Allu Arjun film is full of promise
Duvvada Jagannadham or DJ released on Friday worldwide among huge expectations. The film starring Tollywood’s Stylish Star Allu Arjun in the lead role has Mangalore-born actor Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. The film is directed by Harish Shankar, who has time and again proved his ability to deliver a commercial entertainer to cater to the needs of the audience of all age groups.
Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya appears in court for divorce
Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya moved a step close to her divorce when she and her husband Ashwin Ramkumar appeared in a family court in Chennai on Friday.Married in 2010 and blessed with a child, the couple initiated the divorce proceedings late last year. The judicial separation process has been smooth without any acrimony, as it is being done with mutual consent.The two will have to work out the separation details and file a joint memo of agreement in the court in the next hearing. Once the court is satisfied with the content after its consultation with both parties, it would grant them divorce.
Nirosha back after a break

She’s back to Telugu cinema after a decade, looks slimmer and nurses the same excitement to don the grease paint. Active in television since her marriage and recently for her soap Attho Atthamma Koothuro, she wanted a good break before she returned to Telugu cinema. “It’s a comeback, yes, and I already see a lot changes in the industry. The major one has been the caravan culture, earlier we all used to sit together , it was like a family. What’s still similar is that the caravan hasn’t been a roadblock to our conversations, it’s just the change of a system.”

Adhik Ravichadran is looking forward to the first part of the two-part film, Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan aka AAA starring Silambarasan, Tamannaah and Shreya Saran in lead roles. He debuted in the Kollywood industry with the film Trisha Illana Nayanthara (TIL) starring GV Prakrash, Anandi and Simran. The film was a box office success, however, the critics found the film vulgar and inappropriate. There was a lot backlash, and even Simran had later said that she was not told about how her character would be perceived in the end.
Language won’t be a barrier for Jhanvi’s debut: Sridevi
Actress Sridevi on Thursday said language won’t be a barrier for her 19-year-old daughter Jhanvi when it comes to her acting debut. Asked if she would let Jhanvi make her acting debut with a Tamil film, Sridevi told reporters: “I don’t think language will be a barrier. If we come across a good script and if we feel it will be good for her, then why not?” Amid speculations that Jhanvi will be launched by Karan Johar, Sridevi added that it’s too early to talk about her daughter’s acting career.
‘Mersal’ is Vijay’s next film with Atlee
The much-anticipated poster of actor Vijay’s next film was released on Wednesday. The film, titled Mersal , is directed by Atlee. Up until the release of the name of the film, Thalapathy61 was dubbed as the tentative title. Atlee posted the name and poster of the film on Twitter ahead of Vijay’s birthday. The poster shows Vijay in a typical traditional avatar. Others in the cast are Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menon and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the female lead roles, while S.J. Surya, Sathyaraj and Vadivelu also play key roles. The film is written by K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and produced by Sri Thenandal Films.
VIP 2 star Dhanush wishes son Linga on his birthday
VIP 2 star Dhanush celebrated his son Linga’s birthday today and he posted an adorable picture on his official Twitter handle. He has said today that his son Linga is the light of his life and responsible for all the happiness he brings into his life. He also tweeted a cute picture of himself with his son.“Happy, happy birthday my baby Linga. Light of my life. Miss being next to you my love. Thank you for all the happiness you bring into appa’s life,” Dhanush tweeted. Dhanush is married to film legend Rajnikanth’s daughter and director Aishwaryaa R. Dhanush. The star couple are parents to two sons. Linga is the younger son. The elder son’s name is Yatra.
Rahman to perform in London to celebrate 25 years in the industry
There’s good news for Rahman fans. Isaipuyal AR Rahman has completed 25 years in the industry. And to celebrate the occasion, the composer is all set to perform in London on July 8. He will be performing in a concert titled Netru Indru Naalai at Wembley London. Singers Haricharan, Jonita Gandhi, Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan, Ranjith Barot and Javed Ali will be accompanying him in the concert. On the film front, the composer is busy with the composition of 2.0 starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The musician recently bagged the FilmFare Awards South for his album Thalli Pogathey.
